Hogsmeade is a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays. It is also near the location of the train station used by the Hogwarts Express.

The governing body for the magical community of Great Britain. The Ministry connects the British Government to the wizarding world. Its headquarters is in central London, deep underground. It is headed by the Minister for Magic. The current Minister in Britain is Kingsley Shacklebolt. It is known that other countries have their own Ministries of Magic, such as Norway.

A wizarding prison located on an island in the middle of the North Sea. Presumably, this prison is only used by magical Britain, as there are other wizarding prisons elsewhere such as Nurmengard. Using certain Charms, the prison is hidden from the muggle world, and is unplottable. Most prisoners eventually go insane, and slowly die away.

A preservation area set aside for the protection and study of dragons. Located in Romania, it was established by Harvey Ridgebit sometime before his death in 1973.

A triple-decker, purple bus that assists stranded individuals of the Wizarding community through public transportation. It operates at a very fast speed and obstacles will jump out of its way. To hail the bus, a witch or wizard must stick their wand hand in the air in the same manner that a Muggle might do to hail a taxi. Inside, during the night, the Knight Bus has beds, curtained windows, candles burning in brackets beside each bed, and thirteen sickles buys a cup of hot chocolate, while fifteen gets a hot water bottle and a toothbrush in any colour. During the day, there are just seats that are apparently not bolted down. The bus does not seem to have much in the way of safety features, as passengers and luggage alike are being thrown around the inside of the bus during its haphazard maneuvers.

This is what it says, the Ground Floor. This is where the main entrance goes into, allowing one to get to the stairs or the Dungeon. The Great Hall is located just ahead of the doors. You can find the Great Hall, Entrance Hall, Staff Room, and the Empty Classroom Eleven that teachers sometimes us for large assignments.

This is the first floor, where their is a balcony over looking the Entrance hall and where you can look outside from the behind the clock pieces. Here you can find the Off Limits Girl Bathroom, History of Magic, the Herbology Greenhouse, and the Transfiguration Classroom.

This just a few empty classrooms that can be used for certain electives, this is mostly a floor with some offices on it. The headmaster office and the Defense Against the Dark Arts can be found here.

The Charms Classroom is where Charms classes are taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and it is located on the third floor.

This floor is very bare, with few things that interest many student, except the boys bathroom and also the library. There are some benches in the hallways and some large windows, which allow studying when it is raining outside and students don't want to spend their time in their commonroom.

The fifth floor is very bare and plain, with a few coats of armor that at night clean the hallway for the house elves.

This lovely little floor has it own little mystery. It is said that some of the Weasley own pranks still haunt this floor, for maybe the murdered Twin himself, playing pranks on all the students for his own laughter, but a few get to actually talk with him.

This clean little floor has it own mysterious that some day many things happen here. Some people hear howling on the night of the full moon, while others hear laughter on other days. No one really know why though.

The Forbidden Forest or Black Florest borders the edges of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry grounds. As its name suggests, it is strictly off limits to students - except in the case of detention, or Care of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally take place there. Of course, with the various dangerous creatures living in the Forest, few students would probably even want to venture into it.

The Hogwarts greenhouses are where Herbology classes are taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The greenhouses have statues of long, serpentine dragons running along the peaked roofs. They are home to many exotic and magical plants including some that are extremely rare, difficult to cultivate and maintain, or even dangerous, such as the Venomous Tentacula.

The Black Lake is a large body of water located to the south of the castle. It is about half a mile in diameter and the Hogwarts plumbing network drains into it. It is home to a Giant Squid, grindylows, and a colony of Merpeople.

Hogwarts has its own Quidditch pitch where Quidditch teams could practise, hold try-outs and play matches against each other. Each year will see a total of six inter-house matches (each house competing for the Quidditch Cup), along with numerous training sessions by each house team.

The Clock Tower Courtyard is a cloister on the base of the Clock Tower at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This cloister seems to be one of the older parts of the castle and the ceiling and walls are dilapidated. It also leads to the Covered Bridge.
